# Slack

> Every teammate gets a Slack user of its own.

Connect your Slack workspace once, and each teammate becomes its own Slack user with its own name and picture. People message it or mention it there, exactly as they do with anyone else.

## Connect your workspace

An admin does this once, in **Settings**, under **Connections**.

**1. Open Slack's app page**

Go to [api.slack.com/apps](https://api.slack.com/apps), signed in to the Slack workspace your team uses.

**2. Generate a configuration token**

At the bottom, under **Your App Configuration Tokens**, press **Generate Token** and choose your workspace. Slack shows two tokens.

**3. Paste them into Delegmate**

Paste them on the Connections tab, as it asks. Slack only issues these by hand, which is why this step exists, and you only do it once.

## Add a teammate to Slack

On the same tab, press **Add to Slack** beside a teammate. Slack asks you to approve it with one press.

To stop making Slack users for new teammates, press **Disconnect**. The ones already in Slack stay.
