# Phone and text

> Each teammate has a mobile number of its own.

Your team and your customers can call or text it, and it answers like a colleague. It also calls out, to confirm a booking or chase an answer, and tells you how it went. It knows your people by the numbers in your Google directory, so add yours there and it knows it's you.

## Its number

Delegmate sets the number up automatically soon after a teammate is added. Numbers are UK mobile numbers today. You'll find it on the teammate's page on the dashboard, beside its email address. It's given back when the teammate is removed.

If a number can't be set up, the teammate works without one, by email and Chat.

## What it costs

Calls use credits by the minute. See [typical costs](https://docs.delegmate.com/billing/plan-and-credits.md#what-things-typically-cost).

## A call from your own number

A number can be spoofed, so a call from your number is treated as you for everyday work, but anything that spends money or acts on the outside world is confirmed by email first.
