# Troubleshooting

> Fixes for what people run into.

> [accordion] Google refused to create the teammate's account
>
> The person adding it needs an admin role that can create users: a super admin can add it, or create the user in the Google Admin console and add it here. On a Workspace plan with a fixed number of licences, you may also need a free one.

> [accordion] It says that address is already in use
>
> A teammate needs an address of its own. An admin's account, a group, an alias or an account someone has already signed in to can't become one, because it would be reading their mail and speaking as them. Pick an address nobody uses, and it's created for you.

> [accordion] Setup says something is missing
>
> Delegmate needs more access than it was given, usually after a new feature. Press **Connect** again on the setup page and authorize the fuller list.

> [accordion] It can read a Chat message but doesn't answer
>
> It hasn't joined that conversation. A teammate can't accept a Chat invitation by itself, so turn on auto-accept for the **Delegmate** organisational unit in Google Admin, under **Apps**, **Google Workspace**, **Google Chat**, **Chat invitations**.

> [accordion] It doesn't answer in a space
>
> In a space it answers when you mention it or plainly speak to it. Try mentioning it by name.

> [accordion] It didn't join my meeting
>
> Check its address is on the invite and that the invite has a Meet or Teams link. Zoom isn't supported. In Teams, let it in from the lobby: it gives up after 10 minutes. You can also just send it the link and it comes straight away.

> [accordion] It's in the call but quiet
>
> It listens through the call's captions and answers when spoken to, so make sure captions aren't blocked for your organisation. In a call with others, say its name. Its first answer can take a few seconds.

> [accordion] It has gone quiet
>
> Check its page on the dashboard. It may be paused, waiting on an approval, at its [daily limit](https://docs.delegmate.com/billing/limits-and-top-up.md), or out of credits. At a limit or out of credits, what arrives is kept until it can carry on.

> [accordion] It asked me to approve something I already said yes to
>
> It checks before contacting someone new outside your company, unless you named them or the job plainly needs them. Naming the address in your request saves the question.

> [accordion] It can't sign in to a site
>
> Check the login on its **Vault** tab is current, and [send it a fresh one](https://docs.delegmate.com/apps-and-logins/logins.md) if not. Some sites turn automated browsers away, and it will tell you if that's what happened. It doesn't try to get around them.
