# People and roles

> Who can see and change what on the dashboard.

Everyone signs in to the dashboard with their Google account. Your Workspace admins are always admins, and that's kept in step with Google Admin.

## Roles over every teammate

In **Settings**, under **People**, give anyone a role:

| Role | What they can do |
| - | - |
| **Viewer** | See every teammate, and change nothing |
| **Editor** | Change any teammate, but not billing or people |
| **Admin** | Everything, including billing and people |

## The people a teammate works for

Each teammate works for up to three people. They set its priorities and approve what it asks about, and they can open that teammate on the dashboard to see its work, connect its apps and change how it's set up, without any other role.

One of them is its manager, who also chooses who else it works for.

## Reading what it sent

People who can edit a teammate can open a line of its log to read a message as it went out. Someone who can only view it sees what it did, without the message itself.
